Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan is opening Strictly after rumors she is joining the show

COLEEN NOLAN earlier this year shut down rumors she would be speaking on Strictly, saying she would consider it if she could lose some weight.

Now the Loose Women panelist has put herself forward as a candidate for the next series of the BBC dance show.

She told her ITV co-hosts: “I vote I’m going in!

“There would be a lot of sequins involved, I can tell you that.”

Coleen is no stranger to a competition show, having competed on ITV’s Dancing On Ice in 2009, finishing in fourth place and later hosting the spin-off.

But Strictly would take pride of place.

“I’m a big fan, I think they got the whole balance right.

Anjelica Huston seems weak in bed as Lady Tressilian in Towards Zero

ANJELICA HUSTON looks a far cry from the heyday of her Addams Family film in a new series for the BBC.

The Hollywood actress, who also starred in the film version of Roald Dahl’s The Witches and action series John Wick, appears weak in bed as Lady Tressilian in Towards Zero, an adaptation of Agatha Christie’s book.

The classic murder mystery follows the scandalous celebrity divorce of fictional characters Nevile and Audrey Strange.

The duo, played by Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Ella Lily Hyland, decide to spend the summer together at the seaside estate of Nevile’s aunt Lady Tressilian.

But tensions soon rise due to the presence of Nevile’s new wife Kay, played by Sex Education’s Mimi Keene.

The series will be available on BBC One and iPlayer.

Sophie’s sips and performances

Most performers have warm-up routines to get them into character, but for Sophie Willian, hers was remarkably simple.

The actress was recently back on set to film the second series of her comedy Alma’s Not Normal, which returns on Monday at 10pm on BBC Two.

And she revealed she just needed: “A coffee, a pasty and a fag, before and after the scene”.

She also teased what fans can expect in the new series, saying: “Alma faces a new set of challenges that will change her forever. There is a loss of innocence. It’s more about Alma finding her voice.

“It’s bittersweet, a mix of frustration and hope.”

Lorraine Owl was a hoot

She has been entertaining audiences for over forty years – and even has her own show named after her.

But Lorraine Kelly says her career highlight is appearing as Owl in The Masked Singer.

The presenter described it as: “One of the nicest and happiest experiences”.

She added: “The Bafta award was of course another highlight.”

But despite her stint as a singer, Lorraine has no plans to deviate from what she knows best. She said: “I never had a career plan and I still don’t. I just worked hard and got lucky.

“I love what I do and I have a great production team. You never know what the future holds, but I have found my niche: live morning TV suits me.

EASTENDERS star Charlie Brooks will compete in the new series of ITV’s Dancing On Ice.

The actress, who plays Janine Butcher in the BBC soap, joins Olympic rower Steve Redgrave and reality stars Mollie Pearce and Ferne McCann.

The full line-up has not yet been announced.

NETFLIX is considering greenlighting an animated series inspired by the popular American cartoon Family Guy.

Writing duo Ben Will-Bond and Laurence Rickard, who were behind BBC’s Ghosts, are working on the project called In Case Of Emer-gency, which is set in a hospital.
