X Games Ventura concluded yesterday with Mens Skateboard Street, an event that always puts on a show and has featured legendary skateboarders from Chad Muska to Eric Koston and Ryan Sheckler. This year it was skate street powerhouse, Olympic Gold hopeful and X Games podium mainstay Nyjah Huston who took home his 23rd medal and 15th gold medal, tying him with Shawn White and Garett Reynolds for the most gold medals in X Games history.

Huston was joined by fellow American Braden Hoban who won a silver medal and Portuguese powerhouse Gustavo Ribiero to round out yesterday’s podium. Today’s competition circuit may be filled with Olympic qualifiers and Street Leagues, but Nyjah reminded the crowd why he still loves the X Games, because “it’s the OG, it’s the OG action sports competition,” and he’s been competing since he was 11 years old!

Huston’s win comes at a good time, as he is heading to the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris to win gold in Skateboard Street.
