Women’s golf signs Chang for 2024-25

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW Women’s Golf Head Coach Cindy Ho has signed a transfer to North Texas Valencia-Chang for the programme for the academic year 2024-2025.

Chang, a native of Singapore, is a member of the Singapore Golf Association Junior National Team and grew up playing multiple sports before turning to golf. The 5-2 freshman has four years of eligibility remaining.

“We are excited to welcome Valencia to our Seahawk family this fall,” said Ho. “She is an achiever, an excellent student and an accomplished golfer who will add to our depth.”

Chang graduated from Harrow International School in Bangkok, Thailand.

Chang was named Harrow Bangkok Sport’s Overall Golfer of the Year for 2022-23, highlighted by a first-place finish at the 2023 ISGT STA Golf Invitational and another victory at the 2022 ISGT Tour Championship, co-sanctioned by the Faldo Series. She also won the same event in 2020 and finished runner-up at the 2022 ASB Eagle Cup and fourth on the 2022 ISGT International School Golf Tour.
